HI FRIENDS !!!!!
I'm Jennie! I have been a photographer for 9 years, and full time for 6 of those! I am a die hard Nikon shooter! I just recently got my first film camera and will be adding that onto packages soon!
Photography came to me accidentally. My dad had a camera he could take home from work, and I started using it to take photos of my friends on the weekends just as something for us to go do. Then I got asked to photograph a wedding, and my career started from there!
I didn't choose photography to become my job, I think it chose me. It has made me notice EVERYTHING. How humans can connect with other humans and things. I began to see potential for locations almost everywhere I went. It has taught and shown me just how amazing our sweet baby Earth is and all she gives to us!
When I'm not taking photos, I am doing my little "Grandma" hobbies as I like to call them. I like to believe that I am a bit of an old soul. I love to bake, crochet + sew! I also love to go on long walks and (manageable) hikes with my husband and our angel dog Ozzie! We also LOVEEE to go camping and try to go anytime we have a free weekend during the warmer months! I don't know bud, there is just something about being out in nature, surrounded by greenery and beautiful views having your best people with you.

I fell in love with photography, when I saw how much happiness and joy my photos brought to my clients. Being able to encapsulate moments in their lives for them to look back on forever, was just so wild!

I love when I'm listening to a song and I can start to imaging a scene in my head that follows along with the words.
I love watching movies that have unique and eye catching composition that I can apply when I'm at shoots.
I am a documentary style photographer, and there will be minimal times that I actually have you looking at my camera. I want you to feel like you are the main character in your own movie while we are shooting.
I will give prompts that will spark a candid moment, and that's what my camera craves!
We may also get caught up in chatting about our lives, and I think that is just fine!

Being a strong right brained kinda gal, I love doing anything that sparks creativity. I love to crochet and sew and bake! Sourdough is another favorite hobby of mine!
I am a SUCKER for cozy things. Blankets, sweats/sweatshirts, slippers/fuzzy socks, a nice fireplace and my overalls being a few of those things.
I am a big homebody! There's just nothing like being in a home that is filled with love and happiness!
My dog Ozzie is truly my little shadow. I take him everywhere that I can because I want him to experience all the amazing things I get to experience. He also loves camping like my husband and I do!
My husband and I also love to travel and see new places! I am so lucky with the gift of traveling for work because I get to bring him along with me and we get to explore a new place together, while documenting stories along the way!

The main part of my job, aside from taking the photos, is to make sure you are comfortable! Being in front of the camera can be a super intimidating thing. I struggle with it myself even! The thing that makes the difference is having someone behind the lens, making you feel like you are just friends, having a conversation + hearing random clicks every few seconds. And that is where I come in.
I have a very dry sense of humor and am very sarcastic so let's get that out now. If you can vibe with that, we will have such a fun time together!
If you can just live in the moment and not be focused on what you look like while we are shooting, I promise your session will go so smoothly. Trust in me that I will capture every moment.
I am a huge believer and follower of Pinterest. I will create a new board for every session! It is SO HELPFUL when we are on the same page and feel of the shoot. I find when you are able to see the poses/body language of the pins beforehand, you will subconsciously bring those into the session! I will bring up the inspo a few times while we shoot too. I make them for a reason, so why not refer to them!
